In Tibet: he is described since centuries like the inseparable allied of nomad in one of the most rigorous context of the planet populated of predators. His character and physiology are adapted to this function with the multiple aspects of a primitive race living with the human, to be like a furious lion against predators or the sweet companion of the family or old people and children are particularly research.
Elsewhere: his indelible character of guard and in love with his family has been respected but worked in more limited criteria by Americans and Europeans pioneers who wanted to share with well informed people, the discovery of this legendary dog
TIMES HAVE CHANGED!
Today some « professionals » throw their reserved on this race. They import anything from anywhere and sell them to anybody! This character and health is ignored of with the profit of beauty trophies won without any competition to regild their trade where other races are breeded in « battery » or tenant farming…
Another « plague » also comes from to the faculty of some illuminated ones to create some websites or blogs to describe some defaults as race or character defaults that are the reflect of their own behaviour. Acting that way, they carry damage to the all race.The well known proverb is perfectly applicable and has been expensive to some races: such master, such dog
OUR REACTIONS
Following the different events that occurred in Belgium and France with different “molosses” and their “crossing”, it appeared important to us to give « a progress report » on the real identity of this race which morphology and a given nomenclature could describe him one day as a “dangerous” dog
His character: guard of his human and animal family on his territory, neutral outside
His way of living:

We may not consider him like a pet even if he is “polyvalent” and loves his protection territory and family just like in Tibet. He needs to be outside (double fur) in an enclosed space for his wellbeing and to limit his innate action of protection.

You have to be vigilant! “Locate” and anticipate his reactions in front of some situations or people.

Sometimes you will have to separate him completely for his tranquillity and yours when you invite friends or teenagers a little noisy (to envisage a box or a kennel will be judicious and very useful).

NEVER let him gain a victory over you in spite of its racial stubbornness and this as of his youth

- And of course whatever his race and his real attraction, NEVER LEAVE A DOG ALONE with a child.
